As you might have noticed, there has not been any news or updates from Hugo + Åshild for quite some time. The reason is that the we have been working on private, and totally separate and different projects!

Åshild has initiated reproduction, and has every intention of delivering a child very soon! Initial delivery date was April 25th, but one week later the delivery date seems uncertain... For the next 10 months, however, the new citizen has got a contract insisting on her full attention.

Hugo has also given birth. To his own art gallery. Since last summer, he has presented the following well-known, Norwegian artists: Knut Bry, Fin Serck-Hansen, Camilla Prytz, Magne Furuholmen and Unni Askeland. The gallery has been given a lot of attention in the press, both on a local and national level. Read more at www.hugoopdal.no

Please note; the team Hugo + Åshild is not history! We plan new future projects together, but for now we are having a break. Hope to see you all again, in about 12 months time!

SCENARIO INTERIØRARKITEKTER / TONNING MØBLER
At two different locations, in the city and in the mountains, part 2 of the shoot for the upcoming new catalogue will be completed.

VARIER FURNITURE by Stokke
Hugo + Åshild once again did a photo shoot for Varièr Furniture by Stokke. The pictures of their red dining chair “Date” will be shown in a party mode as a part of their international marketing campaign.

SCENARIO INTERIØRARKITEKTER / TONNING MØBLER
Hugo + Åshild are once again asked to contribute to a catalogue showing furniture produced by Tonning, and redesigned by Scenario Interiørarkitekter.
One of the locations was a beautiful, modern villa at Malmøya in Oslo.

STOKKE
The internationally well renowned company Stokke, contacted Hugo + Åshild to get new photos of their baby buggy. The location was set to the beautiful city of Ålesund.

MOODS OF NORWAY
The crazy boys from Moods of Norway once again wanted our help to present their news. So the story continues: Hugo + Åshild searched for top models, and found the married couple Odny and Hjalmar, the old fisherman Jon and the ferryman Svein. You’re welcome to see the photos in every Brilleland shop around Europe.

DESIGN INTERIØR
The magazine Design Interiør presented photos of textiles, by Hugo + Åshild.
The objects were brought to some amazing surroundings, making a fusion between design and nature.

VARIER FURNITURE by Stokke
Hugo + Åshild did several photo shoots for Varièr Furniture by Stokke, for their autumn campaign, and for the launch of a new chair. The pictures will be used by their dealers all over Europe.
 

PECHA KUCHA NIGHT, OSLO

NORD - mat i norden, a brand new magazine: To be launghed in March. Hugo + Åshild contributed with a tableware photoshoot, illustrating a cosy Easter atmosphere!

Åshild visited Stockholm Furniture Fair.

FJORDFIESTA FURNITURE
We enjoyed another rendezvous with an old friend from Fjordfiesta, Scandia Senior Easy Chair, in front of the fireplace. The result will soon be introduced at www.fjordfiesta.no

MOODS OF NORWAY
Moods of Norway will soon introduce their first collection of glasses, made for Brilleland. Hugo + Åshild enjoyed some fantastic days in Vestlandet, together with Moods and the outstanding models, shooting photos for the upcoming release and campaign. The graphic design is beeing completed by Making Waves as we speak.

DESIGN INTERIØR
Hugo + Åshild was invited to do a photoseries of kitchen utensils for Design Interiør. We called it Nærkontakt – ku møter kasserolle / Close encounter – Cow versus casserole! The photos can be found in the upcomming issue.

TONNING
The traditional furniture designed by Alf Sture and manufactured by Tonning Møbler since 1960, has been given a makeover by Scenario Interiørarkitekter. All photos in the new catalogue were made by Hugo + Åshild. The catalogue will be introduced shortly.

The latest book by Sir Terence Conran, "Love Your Home", is now available in Norwegian bookstores. On of our pictures can be found inside.

Once again Hugo + Åshild delivered a series of photos to the magazine Design Interiør. This time presenting bathroom essentials.

In cooperation with TBWA (www.tbwa.no), Hugo + Åshild did a photo shoot at Frogner Atrium in Oslo; a concierge is available 24/7 (for the first time in Norway) for these high-end apartments!

Took photos for different advertising agencies, used in several ads and catalogues.

In addition, we did a photo shoot ordered by Bonytt, as well as a photoseries presenting Fjordfiestas newest product, the beautiful dining table "Nordica", designed by Norway Says.

Hugo + Åshild contributes to the first issue of 2006 by several photo series. One presenting a house by Invit Arkitekter. Another, nice cups and containers ready to be filled by hot liquids!

Åshild visited Stockholm Furniture Fair while Hugo enjoyed the fantastic scenery of Stadt through his kamera.

Recipe for a Hugo + Åshild outdoor photo shoot:
Find a beach on an extremely windy day. Bring 14 beautiful pieces of furniture, 1 Vespa, 1 Biomega bicycle, 2 models and some tailor-made clothes. Mix thoroughly. The frosting on the cake: It will start to rain in a few minutes and the tide is quickly getting higher! See the photos in Design Interiør no. 06:05.

PARTY

Hugo + Åshild invited friends and business associates to a party at the studio in Brageveien 1 in Oslo. Why? To celebrate; our website, our decision of “one-week-once-a-month-stay” in Oslo and a good life. Thanks for joining us!

BONYTT 01:06

The magazine Bonytt ordered a series of photos showing bedclothes. We brought 5 duvets, 5 pillows, 28 duvet covers and 30 pillow cases out in the open. The result is presented in the January issue of Bonytt 2006.

Hugo + Åshild brought a lot of nice lamps from Oslo to a little forest in Vestlandet.

L.K. HJELLE / NORWAY SAYS / JESSICA SIGNELL KNUTSSON

The latest furniture from L.K. Hjelles new collection were shot by Hugo + Åshild this month. The new items are: The sofas Tipo and Man, as well as the ottoman Boy, all designed by Norway Says, and the cocktail trolley Servant by Jessica Signell Knutsson. The pictures were launced to the media at a party at DOGA in Oslo on the first of September. We enjoyed shooting them!

FJORD INTERIOR

Fjord Interior, a start-up online company based in London, recently went to Norway to shoot their first collection of soft interior products. During three days in August we shot products ranging from luxurious throws and matching pillows, to bed linen, tablecloths and napkins. Location: "Kapteinhuset", Ålesund.

Norway Says and Moods of Norway were invited by Hugo + Åshild to the fjords on the westcoast of Norway.The successfull designers had never met before so we arranged a meeting which resulted in the pictures printed in the magazine Design Interiør 02:05. As a follow up, Norway Says, Moods of Norway and Hugo + Åshild threw a joyful party with friends, family and business associates at Norway Says locations in Oslo.
